That opening line really made me laugh, but there’s nothing funny about Pope Francis receiving a Lamborghini, it’s truly in all sense of the word a blessing.

Pope Francis accepted the beautiful and very extravagant gesture that was gifted to him by Lamborghini, the Italian brand and manufacturer of luxury supercars, sports cars, and SUVs based out of Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.

Lamborghini designed this one-of-a-kind Huracan specifically for Pope Francis where it was received at the Vatican today, Nov. 15, with the manufactures of the car in tow.

The car was painted to replicate that Vatican’s flag colors and was completed with jaw-dropping papal-gold accents on the hood, roof, and doors.

Signed by Pope Francis, the car now has “Francesco” adorned with black marker.

Billionaires, millionaires…get your checkbook ready. The Huracan RWD Coupe can be yours for $200,000. Here’s my sale pitches: zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds on 600 horses.

Sotheby’s will be auctioning off the donated sports car to raise money, that will be later distributed to several charities Pope Francis selects. One charity includes helping Christians living as refugees in Kurdistan to return to their communities in Iraq.

One-of-a-kind exotic cars are nice, but Pope Francis still prefers his modest vehicle to get from one place to the next. He will not be joyriding the vehicle before the auction takes place on May 12, 2018.
