NFL Star Josh Norman Launches Campaign Aiding Children And Families In Puerto Rico

Josh Norman

NFL Redskins superstar Josh Norman is more than the highest-paid cornerback in the league—he is also one of the most philanthropic. Together with his Starz 24 Foundation, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of America, Norman is spearheading a multi-scale campaign to benefit thousands of youth impacted by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

As we’re in the aftermath of the devastation that has left millions on the island homeless and without power, people like Norman are crucial to the survival of the island as they maintain philanthropic efforts and endless supplies of aid coming inland. The campaign will take place over the course of two weeks, activated with Norman’s personal commitment of $50,000 and is seeking the goal of an additional $200,000. The star is calling on the sports community, caring corporations, foundations, philanthropists and entrepreneurs to invest in the children and families of Puerto Rico.

Norman is among many celebrities and strong, influential voices that are calling on our country to continue aid and support for Puerto Rico, as the small island still has a long road of years of recovery ahead of them. The addition of one of the nation’s oldest and largest advocates for children, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is an amazing counterpart to the campaign.

“I am thrilled to be partnering with the leading advocate for our nation’s young people,” Norman said. “Their staff is serving children throughout Puerto Rico with critical services, supplies, food and other forms of support. Some of the Clubs that have survived the devastation are housing desperately sick children who have nowhere else to go.”

Norman is calling on the entire nation to tend to the critical needs of the millions of people left on the island. In the midst of a demanding NFL schedule, he is a superstar on and off the field, setting an admirable and courageous example for the rest of the country to follow his lead and give back to those in need.
