Kim Kardashian should be dubbed the new queen of Halloween. Matter of fact, dubbing her now. Hey Kim, you’re now the queen of Halloween. Tell them to fight me. Of all the celebrities, she’s the one I always look forward to seeing. And now, Stephen Curry has been added to that list. No pressure, man.
Kim doesn’t seem like the type to walk up and down the isles of Party City and pull a costume packaged in plastic that a good 1 in 6 people will also be wearing. The more elaborate preparation seems most her style.
I can picture her team highly producing the ultimate master plan. Think: vision boards, booked glam squad, sketches, fittings, and full-on run-throughs. My guess? That’s probably what happened. After all, there’s a rumour that she loves Halloween because she likes dressing up. Her past Halloween looks have been iconic like her Princess Jasmine and Poison Ivy costumes. This year Kim’s theme was in honor of her favorite icons the later Cher, Madonna, Aaliyah, and Selena.
SONNY AND CHER
Kim and her best friend Jonathan Cheban went as Sonny and Cher, and I just want to know 1) why aren’t my best friends this down and 2) Jonathan, if you need another best friend let me know. I’m ride or die, and I love food. Will take you to the best spots in Vegas. Just putting it out in the universe.
MADONNA
I’m starting to think the key ingredient to Kim’s Halloween costume execution is a partner in crime and support system. Take Kim dressing up as Madonna (inspired by Marilyn Monroe) and her sister Kourtney Kardashian dressing as Michael Jackson.
AALIYAH
The Aaliyah costume, though beautiful, was caught in a bit of a controversy over the Halloween weekend. The internet argued that it was cultural appropriation while others argued that people were taking it out of context because Kourtney Kardashian wasn’t dragged for dressing like Michael Jackson. What do you think?
SELENA
The big finally for Kim Kardashian was *drum roll please* her Selena costume. And I was thinking: why did it take her so long to do it? The resemblance was uncanny and if you follow her on Snapchat, you would’ve seen some of Selena’s signature dance moves…well an attempt. Sorry, Kim. Have to keep it real! But hey, you’re not as bad as you say. Shake it, girl.
