Weekend Roundup: Jimmy Choo, Legion of Honor, Common Sense Host Events

Instyle magazine was in town last week to host an event at Jimmy Choo. The shop party celebrated the new Jimmy Choo Cruise 2018 collection and honored Sam Broekema, Instyle’s market and accessories director and the event chair of the San Francisco Symphony’s Deck the Hall Family Holiday Celebration on Sunday, December 3. All of SF’s most stylish and philanthropic ladies came out for the cause including Sonya Molodetskaya, Farah Makras, Lisa Zabelle, and Dilara Saatci.

Two new exhibits have debuted at the Legion of Honor: Gods in Color: Polychromy in the Ancient World (on view through January 7, 2018) and Klimt & Rodin: An Artistic Encounter (on view through January 28, 2018). To commemorate the new exhibits, the museum hosted a special donor reception. Guests mingled with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s director Max Hollein while taking in the legendary artwork.

Panelists Kara Swisher, Jeremy Bailenson, James Canton and Jim Steyer addressed the impact these new technologies have on kids’ brain development, as well as how kids will learn and connect in the near future. Notable attendees who took in the program?  Robert Blum, Meg Barton, Dana Blum, Mark Lehman, Nina Stanford, and Abby Durban.
