Rockstar For A Day At Hyde Lounge Inside T-Mobile Arena

Weekend Roundup: Experiencing The Concert Life The Hyde WayPhoto Credits: AVABLU.com

Why don’t you make your way up to the Hyde Lounge at T-Mobile arena and experience events from their bar? Here’s what happened over the weekend.

It’s more VIP than the VIP. And, the only reason I say that is because we walked past the T-Mobile VIP line to Hyde Lounge’s own VIP entrance. Arrived at the instructed 6:30 p.m. time and waited 15-20 minutes after. Anticipation building, maybe? I don’t know, but my feet aren’t made for heels and I hate standing.

I give my name to the VIP host by the hostess stand. Promptly he turns to her, “We have that re….” Before he could finish the hostess confirms, “I have that name.” Quickly flipping with a surgeon’s concentration, she plucks out a pastel beige envelope within seconds. “Here it is.” She hands it to the VIP host. “I’ll take them up personally,” he says.

My company is being checked for dangerous lip glosses and iPhones, and I am by the furnished lobby focusing on my hunger and the pizza delivered to the hostess at her podium earlier. She was thrilled and I was jealous. I was high-fived by a man, T-Mobile staff, in acknowledgement of my Iron Maiden t-shirt dress. Sadly, I only know one song. What’s you favorite song? Not sure if the stars aligned or if they did their research, but we had an elevator waiting to ourselves. I adore my privacy as you may remember–complete bliss.

Sitting by the L-shaped wraparound glass balcony, overlooking the entire arena, are silver “reserved” plates marking our seats. Just imagine the 360 degree view of that thing. Your eyes own every angle of the arena. Mechanics are descending from the ceiling. Below people are grinding (that’s a dance I guess) and singing every word with conviction. There are two crowds on this night. Those in the bar area and the other’s at the Hyde Lounge. are standing by the wraparound glass watching The Weeknd perform “Earned It” or they’re sitting drinking at the bar-height tables. And, a fully-stocked bar and kitchen are at the ready. They think of everything.

SBE is brilliant to combine and propose the crème de la crème of the city to T-Mobile’s concert goers: nightlife and entertainment. Honestly, how do they propose you enjoy concerts after that? Here’s the thing: to get up there you need a ticket to the show or table reservations at Hyde’s Grey Goose lounge area. You’re also able to reserve stools or a table overlooking the event at Hyde’s Stella Artois bar, which where I sat. That’s how people get up there. Mystery solved.

Las Vegas does a great job at spoiling you rotten, exposing you to dreamy VIP concepts usually only A-list celebrities get access to. I say this with emphasis though: do double think your reservations to Hyde Lounge’s bar area at T-mobile Arena because I can’t imagine you’ll want to purchase, or could even stomach, standard seating for any event, at any arena, or stadium around the world after this experience. I may argue even premium box seating or Hyde’s Grey Goose Louge can’t compare, but I’d have to back and experience to give you my honest opinion.

By the way, try “The Love Unit” or the cucumber margarita–a great recommendation by our server. Tell the bartender Tita at Haute Living sent you.
