Princess Yasmin Aga Khan began the Rita Hayworth Gala over three decades ago in honor of her mother, actress Rita Hayworth, who passed away from Alzheimer’s. Under Princess Yasmin Aga Khan’s leadership, the events in New York City, Chicago and Palm Beach have raised over $72 million for the Alzheimer’s Association. These funds, combined with other donations, have helped the Alzheimer’s Association make significant progress toward their mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease.
