If you have never understood the description of a “sexy” restaurant then you haven’t been to Sushi RokuTucked inside the stylish W Hotel in Scottsdale, this modern Asian restaurant offers a true Japanese experience where you can sit back and watch the talented chefs here prepare a signature “Omakase” dinner, an orchestrated parade of some of the restaurant’s best dishes, or create sushi rolls that resemble works of art when delivered.

The sushi bar sits prominently in the center of the dimly lit restaurant with all of the lighting focused on the talented chefs working their magic to create beautifully plated dishes. If you aren’t sure what to order, the knowledgeable servers here are only too happy to take you on a culinary tour of the menu and answer any questions you may have while offering suggestions based on your preferences.

If you like spicy dishes, we recommend trying their signature tuna jalapeno roll filled with spicy tuna topped with tuna sashimi and yuzu olive oil.  Another standout is the crunchy tempura spicy tuna roll made even better with the addition of fresh avocado.

Moving right along, we recommend the Katana roll filled with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura along with tuna and yellowtail. The menu also offers an array of salads, hot entrees and non-sushi items like a 14-day aged rib-eye steak, filet mignon, and Chilean sea bass.

For warm dishes, don’t miss the beef ribeye wrapped asparagus, one of their signature mouthwatering dishes, served on a hot stone with a side of soy mirin sauce, or our favorite American Wagyu pan seared potsticker raviolis complete with a spicy ponzu sauce for dipping.

One of the most fun desserts you can order in Scottsdale is found right here. The interactive make-your-own zen s’mores is a deconstructed delicacy that is almost as fun to put together as it is to eat. This sweet treat is designed for two guests to roast marshmallows, add chocolate, sip in the sweet sauce and roll in the graham cracker crumble. Glamping in the desert never tasted better.

Sushi Roku is located at 7277 E. Camelback Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.
