Quick Hits: Atlanta’s Fashion Scene Lights Up At Style South

In conjunction with New York Fashion Week, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta celebrated the season for fresh designer fashion this past weekend with the 2nd Annual Style South. Held at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, Saturday September 16 was buzzing with all the fashionable men and woman itching to get their hands on the latest from the designer boutiques and see the highly anticipated runway show. Over 500 people attended the all day event, which featured in-store promos and one hot runway show to cap off the day. Also, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, which houses designer boutiques including Dior, Tom Ford, La Perla and Moncler, had a one-day special where guests could spend money and receive AMEX gift cards as a bonus. As you can imagine, that was a major draw as people hit the ground running to do their shopping. In fact, they had set aside 200 AMEX gift cards but had to double that amount in the first hour alone.  Along with some of our favorite promos in-store, check out below what really wowed us on the runway.

A SOUTHERN SHOP AROUND: The hautest picks for the day

Nars : Yummy Narsissist-ritas cocktails were passed around to people as they got 15-minute glam makeovers.

Diptyque:  Of course, we had to go to our favorite shop Diptyque (where celebrities including Ludacris, Jon Hamm, Oprah and others are regulars) for the Vetyverio Eau de Parfum launch.

We could on for hours, talking about the selfie station at Theory, the Jimmy Choo “Heels and High Tee” not mention all of the restaurant goodies from The Shops, but we know its the runway show that you really want to see. Here are our favorite looks which included Etro, Akris and Alice & Olivia. One the top moments from the show was when the male and female models walked the runway in tuxes carrying luxe handbags from Bella Bag.  After the runway show, people were able to shop the looks and leave with the runway styles that night. Who said shopping in the dark wasn’t fun?
