AMERICANA
“OMG there’s a lake.” Of course there’s a lake. We’ve got a couple of them actually. We also have a dam too. Las Vegas is one big WTF moment. Places like Americana exist, but you have to dig. This is me digging for you. Being outside reduces stress. Luckily eating lakeside at Americana will help and you’ll boost serotonin! Located: 2620 Regatta Drive Suite 118, Las Vegas, NV 89128. Hours: Lunch and dinner is Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10PM. Brunch is on Sunday from 11AM to 3PM. Dinner on Sunday is from 3PM to 10PM.
PKWY TAVERN
Not sure about you, but I need to get in the zone before I do anything. At work you come across different personalities and challenges. You have to take a moment during your day to do something fun. PKWY Tavern has bomb bar food and games to focus your energy on something else other than tasks that need to be completed. FIREFLY TAPAS
Ask any local which is the best tapas lunch spot and they’ll say Firefly. This place takes you to Spain with their tapas and amazing sangria. The apple machado salad is my favorite, the sliders, and the stuffed dates. Wait, and also the firefly fries. Did I mention the sangria? (Red.) Located: 3824 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Hours: Monday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1AM. Friday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2AM. Sunday from 10AM to 1AM.
ESTIATORIO MILOS
Sometimes I forget I live in a tourist city. When it clicks, I like to eat at Estiatorio Milos. Their restaurant is surrounded by large windows allowing the beautiful, cheery outside light pierce right in. Wait until you see their patio area. It’s out of a Great Gatsby book. They have a three course lunch for $29. It’s right on the strip at The Cosmopolitan. All the tourists passing by make you feel like you’re on vacation, when really you should’ve been heading back to work like 30 minutes ago. Located: 3708 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109. Hours: Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. to 3PM, Monday to Friday. Dinner starts at 5PM to 11PM, Monday to Friday.
RACHEL’S KITCHEN AT THE DISTRICT
Rachel’s Kitchen is tucked in at the The District in Green Valley. This cafe serves fresh, high quality food with a gourmet touch that even Conor McGregor is a fan. But this location is special because of its view and placement. It’s outside surrounded by shops and restaurants. Cars drive up and down The District. You can get a view of the people and the movement by sitting outside. Located: 2265 Village Walk Dr, Henderson, NV 89052. Hours: Monday to Saturday from 8AM to 9PM. Sunday from 8AM to 7PM.
