French Brand Sezane’s First US Flagship Store In Nolita

As NYFW kicks off this week, there is an excitement in the air of new things to come. Jumpstarting the “what’s next buzz” is the opening of French phenomenon brand Sezane’s first US flagship store in Nolita.

“I’ve always loved New York, ever since I first encountered the city at age 13 – and every time I’ve been back, I’ve always felt the unique, bubbling energy, the endless possibilities and opportunities! The city is a big source of inspiration for me, and what inspired our Fall Collection this year… It also of course made sense because we have a lot of customers in New York – they have been asking us to come for years!” shares Creative Director Morgane Sezalory.

Started in 2008, Sezane began as an online shop of hand-sourced vintage items that quickly became a go-to French shopping destination. With the success of her online store, Morgane slowly added her original designs and custom vintage pieces, which became equally as coveted.

Finally in 2015 the brand opened their first brick and mortar store, a chic take on a Parisian flat, L’Appartement. And Morgane is bringing that same French sensibility and “je ne sais quoi” lifestyle to the New York L’Appartement. Along with housing the carefully curated ready to wear and accessories collections, a café will serve complimentary beverages from French bakery Marman and florist workshops by Flower Girl NYC who also was commissioned to create the custom floral arrangements in the store. And what better neighborhood to recreate a charming French oasis than in Nolita?

“Elizabeth Street is so charming, I fell in love with it immediately. It has the feel of New York City but in a more hidden, secret way… We found the perfect space on Elizabeth Street with red brick and classic awnings, and beautiful, big windows in front to peek into L’Appartement New York!”

L’Appartement New York, located at 254 Elizabeth Street, will open on Thursday, September 7th, at 11AM. The store will be open Monday-Saturday, 11AM-7PM, and Sundays from 12-6PM.
