7 Of The Best Farm-To-Table Restaurants In NYC

When it comes to food, I wouldn’t necessarily call myself “picky,” I like all sorts of cuisines. Italian? Sign me up! Chinese? Yes, please! Indian? Don’t mind if I do! Japanese? Sounds delicious to me! So, no, I’m not picky in the sense of what cuisine I’m having.

However, that being said, I do tend to get a little more selective when it comes to whether or not my food is actually good. Whether it be Italian or Japanese, I want to make sure every bite of my meal is delicious. It’s hard to guarantee overall deliciousness when trying out a new restaurant.

As far as I’m concerned, the only way to guarantee my meals are reaching such a high bar of deliciousness is to make sure that every single one of the ingredients comprising my meal are the absolute freshest they could possibly be. Beyond the fact that farm-to-table cuisine has taken trendy pockets of our nation by storm over the past few years, farm to table restaurants find success time after time because their food is just better.

Don’t believe me? Do me a favor and try a farm fresh tomato in the Summer then have another one in the Winter. A farm fresh tomato in the Summer tastes like it was genetically engineered to be the most perfectly delicious tomato you’ve ever had.

Now, imagine every single ingredient in your meal was made out of farm fresh ingredients. There are lots of farm to table restaurants in New York City but these seven restaurants do it better than anyone else. Without further ado, allow me to present the seven best farm-to-table restaurants in NYC.

Market Table

No matter what you order on Market Table’s seasonal menu, just know that it is going to be the best of that item. Your steak will be the best steak you ever had. Your taco will be the best taco you’ve ever had. Your scallops will be the best scallops you’ve ever had. The menu takes all of your favorite classics and does them right. Midwinter Kitchen

Midwinter Kitchen has created a wonderful magical world where you can inhale a mouthwateringly delicious cheeseburger without feeling gross about it because, well, you know exactly where every single one of the ingredients in that cheeseburger came from. When I think of farm to table food, a hearty Italian meal isn’t typically the first thing that comes to mind. Unless I’m at Rosemary’s where the chefs have masterfully integrated fresh farm to table ingredients into all of the classic Italian dishes you know and love.
