Simply the best… brunches, that is.

TRES BY JOSE ANDRES

There’s a little bit of everything at Jose Andres’ elegant spot at the SLS Beverly Hills—from caviar to a carving station to olive oil mini pancakes. Make sure to wash everything down with a Brazilian screwdriver (made with Cachaca and fresh citrus); a grapefruit mimosa or a non-alcoholic agua fresca.  465 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048

SALAZAR

This Frogtown eatery is a wonderful place to while away a morning from its outside patio, especially when you factor in Mexican fare such as chilaquiles or eggs Benedict with machaca. Make sure to try the ‘adult’ agua frescas such as the High Desert Cooler, a refreshing blend of rum, gin, aperol, banana, coconut, vanilla and condensed milk.

REPUBLIQUE

Walter Manzke’s epic eatery serves up baked goods for days on the daily but his restaurant, Republique‘s, weekend brunch is unparalleled. Whether you’re eating his broccoli toast or brioche French toast (douse liberally in Vermont maple syrup); a smoked cod bagel or a mouth-watering Croque Madame, you’re going to leave happy. Wash it all down with one of our favorite drinks in Los Angeles, the Watermelon Spritz: aperol, watermelon juice, lime and prosecco. 624 South La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

 ALCOVE BAKERY & CAFE

Alcove is a Los Feliz staple as much for its ambiance as its food. You can bring your puppy to dine with you in this glorious secret garden-esque atmosphere. Everything under the sun is on the menu, including crepes, pancakes, breakfast bowls of healthy grains, omelets, enchiladas and more. There’s even a Warrior Breakfast of eggs and chicken for the Golds Gym set. Personally, we’d rather refrain from counting calories and indulge in the Pimped Out Bloody Mary—made with mezcal or green chile vodka and a plethora of pickled goodies.

MALIBU FARM

Get your iPhone ready to snap photos of the stellar drinks, fabulous breakfast items like coconut French toast bread pudding and green eggs and ham “shakshuka” (if your hands aren’t shaking from overindulging at the mimosa bar) with the Malibu pier as your backdrop. It’s bliss.  23000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265

THE CHURCH KEY

At West Hollywood hot spot The Church Key, there’s a Bloody Mary bar here should say it all. If it doesn’t, how’s this: there are bottomless bellinis, champagne, and rose all day, homemade brioche doughnuts and… yes, there’s more, but do you really need anything else?

8730 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069

MANHATTAN BEACH POST

Head to the beach for one of the best meals of your life. David LeFevre leaves the floor-to-ceiling windows to his upscale Manhattan Beach eatery, the MB Post, open on weekends, where scents like honey-laced fried chicken and bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits will waft out to greet guests, like the Pied Piper was there. 1142 Manhattan Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

CULINA

The brunch at the Four Seasons Los Angeles’ signature restaurant, Culina, is out of this world. There are omelet stations, carving stations, sushi stations and more here…it’s endless and epic, which is why, come awards season, everyone who is anyone will be seen brunching here, and damn the calories!
