Where To Indulge In Georgia’s Juicy Peaches in Atlanta for National Peach Month

HEROS_SQ_SP-holdingDid you know August is National Peach Month? And, of course, Georgia and peaches go hand in hand. Who doesn’t love a deliciously juicy Georgia Peach? Although it has been a difficult year (the crop is at an 80% loss due to unique weather patterns), top chefs, bar keeps and beverage professionals will come together this weekend to introduce the first PeachFest and honor the iconic Georgia delicacy. Proceeds from this Peachy event benefit Piggy Bank, a farm for making heritage breed pigs.

‘PeachFest is a fairy-tale celebration of peaches and different species of heritage pork raised by local family farmers,” says Brady Lowe, Piggy Bank’s project director. “But it does more than that: it also highlights the dynamic tastes and energies of Atlanta’s core urban district and its tight-knit communities. And it wouldn’t happen without the dedication and support of our local partners and contributors.”

For the inaugural celebration those partners and contributors are going to be an A-list roster of culinary and cocktails specials.

Here is some of the peachiness you won’t want to miss:
