Experience The World’s Largest Sake Festival Outside Of Japan

On September 27, The Joy of Sake is hitting New York. The world’s largest sake festival outside Japan, the event features over 400 types of different sakes for sampling, in addition to dishes for tasting from many of New York’s top restaurants. Out of the 400 sakes that will be available at the event, over half of them are not normally available in the United States. If you’re a sake enthusiast, this is the perfect time to perfect your sake palate.

The food at the event intends to reflect the Japanese culture and pair well with the sake. Highlights from the offerings include SakaMai’s Dry-aged Duck Breast with pickled garlic puree, Momofuku Ssam Bar’s Gochu-glazed Pork Ribs with cucumber pickles, and Gaijin’s luxurious Uni Ikura rice bowl.

Participating restaurants include 15 East, Aburiya Kinnosuke, Bond Street, OKA, En Japanese Brasserie, Gaijin, Hibino, INSA, Ivan Ramen, Momofuku Ssam Bar, Sakagura, SakaMai, Sen Sakana, SushiSamba, Yopparai and Zuma.
