Foodies, gather ’round, because tickets went on sale today for one of the most anticipated culinary events in the midwest, The Kohler Food & Wine Experience. The interactive event, which takes place October 19-22nd at the five-star resort Destination Kohler brings together wine and cuisine (not to mention scenery that’s far more bucolic than what we’ve got in Chicago) created by a carefully selected list of award-winning culinary experts and celebrity chefs. On this year’s roster: America’s Test Kitchen’s Julia Collin Davidson, Bridget Lancaster, and Jack Bishop; Top Chef All Stars champ Richard Blais; Iron Chef winner Alex Guarnaschelli; plus local favorites like Stephanie Izard of Girl & the Goat, and Jeff Mauro, owner of Pork and Mindy’s and the host of the Food Network’s Emmy-nominated series “Sandwich King” and “$24 in 24.”
Programming includes workshops and seminars like “Understanding the 16 AVAs Within Napa Valley,” “Dress up Your Meal with Spices and Rubs,” and “Not your Parents’ Lambrusco.” Tickets for individual workshops begin at $39.
Packages, including accommodations are available starting at $383 per person for a two-night stay and event tickets, but sell out well in advance of the event. For package details and to purchase tickets to the event, follow this link.
