In restaurant related news, Tavern Road sadly closed its doors this weekend in the Fort Point neighborhood. Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co. is now open on Lansdowne Street and 1,000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria has opened its first Massachusetts restaurant in Government Center on Court Street.
On Friday, the Seaport District hosted its final “Seaport Sounds Concert Series” with the five-piece rock ban Atlas Lab. The neighborhood’s concert series featured local bands and musicians Friday nights throughout the summer on Seaport Common next to District Hall
The North End was all abuzz this weekend with the 98th annual St. Anthony’s Feast, the biggest Italian street festival of its kind featuring parades, strolling singers, live entertainment, contests and religious services.
South Boston’s Publico Street Bistro hosted its first annual Havana White Garden Party where attendees donned their finest summer whites at this Cuban inspired soiree. Guests enjoyed live Cuban jazz music in the interior atrium garden, a la carte swine specials courtesy of Chef Keenan Langlois while sipping on native Cuban cocktails, including a variety of fresh fruit flavored mojitos and Hemingway daiquiris.

Big Night Entertainment Group hosted a private opening party at Explorateur last night (tonight is the official opening to the public) at the 120-year-old Grand Masonic Lodge located near Boston Common. The restaurant’s French approach to modern Californian cuisine features an all-day European-style dining concept complete with cafe, full-service restaurant, and bar.
