A Boston Guide To Celebrating Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day is coming up right around the corner on September 4th.  With summer coming to an end, in addition to planning those final barbecues and summer soirees, here’s a look at some “labor-less” ways to spend the holiday in Boston. We done the work for you and rounded up some of the best places to go, shop and sip this Labor Day weekend. Here’s a look ahead.

Where to Sip:

There are so many different dining options in Boston. From seafood plucked from the sea just a few hours prior to it being presented on your plate to the homemade Italian fare of the North End, there are numerous restaurants to choose from. Last week, we highlighted the best places to go in Boston for a nice juicy steak, but when it comes to dining out and wine pairing, there is one exclusive destination that many Bostonians are unaware of. Abe & Louie’s offers a secret wine menu that is not only never printed, but only delivered to those wine lovers in-the-know (now you know). The selections change often and feature hard-to-find wines like a 2009 Ceretto Barolo and a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Vine Hill Ranch.

Where to Stay:

The pet friendly Envoy Hotel over in the Seaport District offers a great way for the whole family to plan a staycation in Boston. When you call ahead to make your reservation, just mention that you plan on bringing your favorite four-legged friend and they will roll out the pet carpet complete with dog treats and a pet bed and water bowls to use during your stay. They will even provide recommended walks along the Harborwalk and other pet friendly destinations in Boston.

Where to Shop:

Tiffany & Co. is launching a new watch collection in September for women known as Tiffany Metro that will be available at the Copley Place location. Each timepiece features a round brilliant diamond crown that is assigned its own unique serial number to make the watch personal to its wearer.
