The spa launched two new lines: a body treatment collection inspired by the seasons and a luxe skincare brand that combines French sensibilities with Japanese science.
French farmer, Eric Desforges de Caulieres, whose family has tended land in the Loire Valley for over 250 years, noticed that after harvesting sunflowers, rapeseeds, and linseeds, his hands were incredibly smooth. It inspired him, along with his children, to launch an oil-based skincare line, Maison Caulieres. The family developed an assortment of goods and therapies based on the ingredients that grow seasonly on their farms. The resulting items—four sensation rituals, eight body care products, and four scented candles—are a unique blend of three extra-virgin oils, honey, and floral aromatics. The items are based on the skincare needs of the season. In winter when the skin can be dry, there is a rich body creme. In spring when it’s time to wake up the skin, there is an invigorating body wash. The treatments reflect this mentality. The 60-minute ‘back to the roots’ massage starts with a milky foot bath with rose petals and foot massage. It’s followed with a full body scrub, perfumed with rose, bergamot, and fig. Afterward the skin will be revived and the mind relaxed. The 90-minute ‘time for a dream’ treatment is inspired by the summer fields in France. It’s intended to warm up the body, build energy, and enhance the mood. It starts with a sugar scrub made with broom flower and honey—these components promote cellular renewal, then a dry-oil softens the skin as it is massaged into the body.
The new facial care collection is also French, Evidens de Beauté, was founded by Charles-Edouard Barthes. The Frenchman fell in love with a Japanese woman and was blow away by her pristine beauty. In order to provide his wife the skincare products she desired, Barthes tapped Professor Ishibashi, a Japanese Ph.D who specializes in biotech beauty, to develop the secret anti-aging, effective, and mild creams and potions. Evidens de Beauté is an extensive line that includes make-up remover milk, cleansing gel, serums, different types of face cream, masks, shower cream, and more. At the Rosewood Sand Hill Spa, they offer specialized facials that use Evidens de Beauté’s sumptuous cosmetics. The 360 anti-aging ritual maximizes smoothness and hydrates the most dry areas of the face. A ritualistic eight-step process, including a bio-collagen mask, makes it an extravagant experience.
