On Saturday afternoon, Yazz “The Greatest,” who plays Hakeem Lyon on the FOX television drama, “Empire,” hosted and performed live at the Flamingo GO Pool.

Columbia Records recording artist Bryshere Gray (aka Yazz “The Greatest”) stars as Hakeem Lyon in the multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated FOX television show “Empire.”

Gray has been nominated for two NAACP Image Awards and a Teen Choice Award for his role on “Empire,” which was recently renewed for its fourth season. Gray was last seen as the lead role of BET’s miniseries, “The New Edition Story,” starring as Michael Bivins, one of the true original remaining members of the band. The biopic was one of the highest rated and most watched telecasts in years. Gray is also set to star in the indie film titled, “Canal Street,” a modern-day thriller within the city of Chicago telling the story of a teen trying to get by in an unwelcoming world.
