If you spent the weekend chilling in instead of heading out, here’s a look back at some of the weekend’s hautest happenings here in Boston that you may have missed.

America’s Test Kitchen Boston EATS announced the initial lineup for its two-day festival being held October 27-28, 2017. The event will bring some of Boston’s best chefs and restaurants to America’s Test Kitchen’s new headquarters and studios at The Innovation and Design Building in the Seaport District. Artists from all around the world came to Revere Beach this weekend for the annual International Sand Sculpting Festival where attendees had a chance to view these incredible works of art (think mermaids, mythical creations and even baby elephants) created entirely out of sand.

Whether you enjoy a leisurely cruise in a canoe or prefer the excitement of a more rigorous ride on a kayak, water lovers of all ages had the unique opportunity to get their thrill on at the Neponset Riverfest held on Saturday. This was the first event of its kind designed for families to spend a fun-filled day along the Neponset River.

This weekend, artists had the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing at FIGMENT Boston held on Saturday and Sunday. The two-day celebration of art and culture was designed to show the community what the arts is all about –  creativity and completely free, born from the desire to share imagination and invention between artists and the public.
