It’s a bittersweet time for the actor, as Season 7 premiers today. Coster-Waldau has dedicated much time to the GOT serieseight years to be exact. It comes as no surprise that GOT lovers out there are a tad bit sad to hear the beloved series is coming to an end. After all, it is labeled as television’s most popular show for reasons that are quite obvious.

Aside from the much talked about final season, Coster-Waldau has so much more to celebrate. There’s his role in Small Crimes, a crime drama that premiered at SXSW, another role in the Saban Films-produced Shot Caller, and a newly announced role in Brian De Palma’s thriller, Domino.

All this Hollywood talk does not define Coster-Waldau though, he is humble and extremely grounded. The down-to-earth actor made his way in and greeted guests with his charming smile, mingling and pausing every so often for a picture or two. Guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails and just like that, it was dinnertime.

Coster-Waldau chatted away and shared laughs with his guests. The dimly lit, old-Hollywood glam space set a perfect mood for the special evening. Executive chef, Daniel Elmaleh crafted a delicious menu for the night, for starters: crispy brussels sprouts, avocado and beet sushie, roasted vegetable salad, mushroom toast, and Greek chicken meatballs. For entrees: steak and Bearnaise, and Scottish roast salmon.
