The styling of yachts, especially superyachts is becoming increasingly more important. New technologies allow for more challenging designs to become a reality and many shipyards take advantage of this. Italian superyacht builder Rossinavi enlisted Pininfarina to design their latest concept, the Aurea!
Measuring 230-foot/70 meters, the Aurea is designed to capture your attention, and hold it! Fluid lines give the yacht a unique dynamic. This is even further enhanced by features that are rare, even among superyachts, such as a pool surrounding a lounge area at the aft section.
Wooden decks and beautiful staircases connect the different areas. In many ways, the Aurea was developed to be a next level superyacht, not only in terms of design but also in the way the owner and his/her guests can enjoy it. The sundeck offers spectacular views and is large enough for six sunloungers, while on the deck below a whirlpool is available as well as a dining area.
The Master Suite of the Aurea features a private balcony and large windows. The guest cabins enjoy a similar setup but share the outdoor area, which can also utilize for events and get-togethers.
Technical details have yet to be released, but Rossinavi has confirmed that the Aurea will be fitted with a diesel-electric propulsion. Unique is that this is not placed at the stern of the yacht, but rather in the middle. This opens up more room for the beach club.
The beauty is that with the Aurea form and function achieve a synergy that we know all too well from Pininfarina’s designs for Ferrari, but are rather new in the world of superyachts. It gives us a glimpse into the future, and one we cannot wait to see in real life!
