The Related Group debuted its latest masterpiece to the public as they unveiled Brickell Heights, a mixed-use development located on South Miami Avenue in the heart of Brickell. The building features two towers of residences, office space, a SoulCycle and the largest Equinox in all of Miami. In addition to the property’s enviable amenities and prime location at the urban center of Downtown Miami just steps away from the sprawling Brickell City Centre, the property also boasts a serious selection of specially-curated artwork.

Gracing the front of the building is the striking outdoor mural by Argentine artist Fabian Burgos, matching the outdoor mural of the upcoming SLS Lux opening right across the street. Inside, the property features original works by Eduardo Capillo, Omar Rodriguez Graham and more. Prior to the grand reveal, the artists held an intimate discussion about their experience working on the project and the art curated for Brickell Heights.

The art within the project bridged together the developers, the curators, architects, designers and artists all in one space so that the design complements each particular element. Specific to Brickell Heights, the element of nature is preeminent. Touching on this, artist George Goodrich noted, “Art serves something very basic in our mentality and in terms of our psyche—the approximation to beauty is very important. In our day-to-day life, we’re drawn away from nature and art gives us that escape. There is something that might be incomprehensible. We don’t really have access to that on a daily basis and art fills that basic needs for humans to feel something that we don’t necessarily comprehend, and that lack of comprehension creates a space where that can happen, that is new, and that enriches the lives of everybody. As artists, we are helping the community become a better place.”

The project incorporates living plants throughout the space, from gorgeous pops of green color sticking out against the sleek white walls of the common rooms, as well as with the project’s addition of a live plant garden outside where residents are allowed to come get fresh herbs for their cooking. In combination with the cultivation of fitness and wellness with Equinox and SoulCycle right downstairs, as well as a state-of-the-art private residence gym and spas, Brickell Heights is a haven for those wishing to live a healthy lifestyle.
