Perhaps the only cocktail trend that’s surpassed Rose in ubiquity and Instagram mentions in the last two years is it’s frozen cousin, Frose. In fact, “adult slushies” of all manner have caught on in cocktail culture and they’re as delicious (and potent) as they sound. From Frose, to shaved-ice Negronis, to snow cones and more, here are five frozen cocktails you’ll daydream about all summer.

1 Hampton Social's Frose

It's no surprise that, behind the bar at the restaurant that spurned a million "Rose all day" Instagrams, you'll find a slushy machine indefinitely whirling up multiple batches of frozen rose made from Tito's Vodka, Rose and peach puree.

2 Expat's Rose Snow Cone

Expat's Rose Snow Cone might be the most-fun-to-ingest cocktail in all of Chicago, Frose or otherwise. That's partially because it's made with rose, Lillet and sugar poured over a mound of shaved ice in a nostalgic snow-cone cup, and partially because you'll be enjoying it at Expat's string-light bedazzled, al fresco-only West Loop locale.

3 Parsons' Original Frozen Negroni

Parsons' Chicken and Fish could easily add "And original Frozen Negroni" to their name and get away with it, because the Logan Square spot is almost as well known for the latter. The drink, made from Letherbee Gin, Luxardo Bittesr, sweet vermouth, grapefruit and OJ, is served from a slushy machine all year round.

4 Federales' Apricot Mezcal

Federales', the West Loop spot from Four Corners Tavern Group, serves up an Apricot Mezcal that's as cold and sweet as its weekend patio scene is hot. The frozen cocktail is made with mezcal, tequila, apricot and fresh lime.

5 The Dawson's Frozen Mai Tai

If you can snag a spot on The Dawson's patio on a summer night, use your good fortune to indulge in their Frozen Mai Tai, made from Bacardi 8, clement premise canne, rhum, Cointreau, lime and orgeat.
