STING’S CENTRAL PARK-FACING PENTHOUSE ASKS $56M

The New York City Duplex Penthouse owned by British rock artist, Sting, is on the market with a $56 million price tag.Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner (aka Sting) and his wife, actress and producer, Trudie Styler, bought the residence at 15 Central Park West for $26.98 million in 2008 from the building developer. They hired interior design firm, Shelton Mindel, to add two custom spiral staircases and a double-sided gas fireplace in the living room of the two-story unit, which spans the 16th and 17th floors of the building.

WEST VILLAGE TOWNHOUSE TAYLOR SWIFT RENTED IS GOING FOR $24.5M

The West Village townhouse that pop princess Taylor Swift rented in 2016 has been listed for 24.5 million. Swift reportedly spent $39,500 per month on the five-bedroom, four-floor residence on Cornelia Street, while her duplex apartment in Tribeca was being renovated. Built as a carriage house in 1912, the charming, 5,400-square-foot brick home features dramatic double-height ceilings, glass windows, antique brick walls, Russian Ipe wood floors, and three fireplaces (one wood burning and two gas).

SUPERMODEL TYRA BANKS’ PLUSH MANHATTAN PENTHOUSE

Supermodel and America’s Next Top Model founder and host Tyra Banks just listed her New York City penthouse for $17.5 million. The residence is also available to rent for $50,000 per month. Banks, who is the new co-host of America’s Got Talent, paid a little over $10 million for the apartment in Battery Park City in 2010 and has been renting it out since 2015. Located next to Rockefeller Park and the Hudson River, the nearly 7000-square-foot duplex with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms has floor-to-ceiling, wrap-around windows offering views to the North, South, and West.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND JESSICA BIEL BUY PENTHOUSE AT RESTORED LANDMARK

Pop artist Justin Timberlake and actress Jessica Biel bought a penthouse at 443 Greenwich Street in New York. The couple will be neighbors to the many other celebrities, including actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and British Formula One driver, Lewis Hamilton in the landmarked building in Tribeca. It’s uncertain which residence they snagged, but it is believed to be Penthouse G, a 5,375-square-foot, four-bedroom apartment, with a $27.5 million price tag. Designed by Centra Ruddy Architects, the loft-style apartment with high ceilings and an open kitchen, is lined with reclaimed wood and wide plank white-oak floors, and is finished with marble and stainless steel accents.
