Give Dad A Haute Father’s Day With These Three Watches

Upcoming weekend it is Father’s Day again, in which we pay tribute to, and hopefully spend some good times with, our Dad’s. While time with their children is the best gift for many fathers, a more tangible token of our appreciation is a tradition. And what better than to make this a precious timekeeper to keep track of all those good times?

Hublot Big Bang UNICO Sapphire
An innovation wrapped in innovation! One of the reasons why we love Hublot so much is that with them nothing is impossible, and they always continue to push the envelope! Already an innovator when it comes to sapphire cased watches, earlier this year the launched yet another world first: colored sapphire cases! Requiring incredible skill and expertise to craft, this limited edition of 250 pieces per color, brings sapphire watches to a new height! Inside ticks Hublot’s UNICO movement, which in itself is a tour-de-force when it comes to Haute Horlogerie chronograph movements!

Ulysse-Nardin Marine Tourbillon
Especially dad’s with a passion for the ocean will love the Marine Tourbillon by Ulysse-Nardin, which combines a classic look with modern technology in the movement. The striking dial is crafted from Grand Feu enamel, which offers a nice contrast with the black Roman numerals. While a power reserve indicator dominates the top part of the dial, it is the flying tourbillon at six o’clock that is the true eye-catcher. It is fitted with Ulysse Nardin’s Silicium escapement and spring and has a power reserve of no less than 60-hours.

Cartier Drive de Cartier Moon Phases
More classical inclined dad’s will for sure love the Drive de Cartier.  It is one of the recent superstars in the line-up of La Maison, and it is quite easy to see why! Well proportioned and set with a domed sapphire crystal, the Drive de Cartier is a contemporary classic. The moon phase complication only adds to this, as it is not only a complication that Cartier has rarely used in the past, but gives the watch a sense of complexity in an almost romantic way. The moon phase complication is quite complex, as Cartier developed a so-called astronomical moon phase for the Drive de Cartier, which only needs correcting once every 122 years!
