Atlas Galleries is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a fixture on the Chicago art scene this year, and they've earned their stripes. Carrie Secrist Gallery, another of the city's best known art purveyors, celebrates 24 years in the West Loop this year. The space represents well-known and emerging modern artists like Min Song, Anne Lindberg, Liliana Porter, Andrew Holmquist, and Whitney Bedford.

This 14,000 square-foot space occupies two floors in The 900 Shops and houses one of the city's most impressive collections of contemporary art from around the world. While you'll find a unique range of represented and visiting contemporary artists at this Wicker Park space, what truly makes Monique Meloche Gallery one of the Chicago's best is its namesake. Monique Meloche, a former MCA curators, is also the founder of Gallery Weekend Chicago in 2011, and is known for her early support of up-and-coming artists like Rashid Johnson.
