On Wednesday night, Haute Living and Jason of Beverly Hills celebrated Malin Akerman. The blonde beauty starred on the cover of the April/May issue of Haute Living New York. A crowd of close friends came together to honor Akerman at the stylish Southeast Asian restaurant, E.P. & L.P. located in West Hollywood.
The celebration kicked off with a cocktail hour. Guests mingled at the bar and sipped on handcrafted libations as they chatted away. Akerman and boyfriend Jack Donnelly arrived looking smitten and joined in on the cocktail hour, making their rounds and saying hello. The Billions co-star has much to celebrate, an indie film, The Ticket, coming out in April and her recent signing for the movie Rampage with The Rock and Naomie Harris.
Soon enough, guests settled into their seats and the dinner was off to a start. Akerman was all smiles throughout the night and it was very clear from the start that she is as genuine as can be. The humble actress engaged with her close friends and shared many laughs with them before the first courses made their way out.
The menu for the special night counted on: Fijian style ceviche, spiced salmon, sticky spare ribs, crispy skin chicken, scallop & mussel curry, stir fried Californian vegetables, steamed blue cod and twice cooked short rib.
Guests who attended the intimate affair included: Haute Living co-founder Seth Semilof, Editor-in-Chief Laura Schreffler, Arielle Kebbel, Peter Mensah, Jason Arasheban, Molly Fishkin, Debbie Levin, Nicol Paone, Alex Yetman, Ryan Catwright, Adam Campbell, Abbas Behbehani, and Crime by Design.
After the main course, Seth Semilof made a toast to Akerman, congratulating her past, current, and future projects and thanking her for a wonderful night well spent amongst dear friends. Glasses clinked and shortly after, mango pudding with roasted coconut ice cream was brought out as the final touch to an already sweet night.
It’s true—Akerman is not your average Hollywood actress, she’s kind and grounded and she’s not afraid to show it. Cheers to you Malin Akerman!
