19th Century Chateau Designed by Eiffel Tower Architect Is Up For Auction

Chateau de Promenthoux,” a 19th century Swiss chateau designed by Stephen Sauvestre, one of the architects of the Eiffel Tower, will soon be up for auction, Mansion Global reported.

Offered for the first time in over 50 years, the estate, previously on the market for $48 million Swiss francs (about $47.66 million U.S. dollars), is open for previews and can be bid on via Concierge Auctions’ mobile app on June 15.

It was built circa 1896 as a summer home for Jean-Philippe Worth, son of Parisian imperial fashion designer Charles Frederick Worth, according to the property listing via Concierge Auctions.
