The first weekend of April welcomed the infamous battle between Oxford and Cambridge Universities on the Thames River. The Cancer Research UK Boat Race and The Cancer Research UK Women’s Boat Race brought a wondrously festive atmosphere along the bank of the river. In a closely fought battle, Oxford rowed to victory and Cambridge won the women’s boat race. Many use the event as an excuse to venture out to riverside pubs in Hammersmith, Fulham and Ravenscourt Park and sit in the newly appeared sunshine and sip on an Aperol Spritz. See you next year!

Over the weekend, Londoners celebrated the best global mixologists at Cocktails in the City. The event featured twenty-eight leading bars in pop-up form under one roof. Guests sampled delights from authorities in the field of mixology including The Artesian, Soho’s Disrepute, London Cocktail Club, and The Walrus Room.
Presented by Saatchi Art , The Other Art Fair celebrated emerging artists and provided them with an exclusive platform to show off their talents. More than 1,000 applicants were submitted but only a paltry 130 made the cut at London’s Victoria’s House, Saatchi’s committee of industry experts has the unenviable task of trimming down entrants, allowing visitors to cast their eye across emerging art and pick up a piece for the drawing room.
