Weekend Roundup Atlanta: Celebrity Wine Auction and Atlanta United Kicks Off

This weekend was a busy one in Atlanta, starting with the annual anticipated Frank Ski Kids Foundation Celebrity Wine auction and winding down with a sold-out Stadium for Atlanta United’s first home game of the season.

On Saturday March 4, an A-List crowd came together for an evening of giving, fine wines and a silent auction to benefit the Frank Ski Kid’s Foundation. Founded in 2001, the foundation is committed to exposing kids to their future through science, technology, sports and the the arts.

Famed radio host and philanthropist Frank Ski mixes his passion for fine wine with his passion for helping kids to host a star-studded silent auction and wine tasting gala each year that has become quite the fixture on the social scene in Atlanta. This year was no exception.  Guests enjoyed catering from Carrabbas two outdoor patios, three levels of wine tasting and spirits and even a Rooftop cigar lounge with cognac and tequila. The silent auction items were a huge hit as well with highly sought after items like a bottle of Ace of Spades champagne signed by Lil Wayne and a piece of art by Atlanta based artist Fahamu PecouIMG_2040 IMG_2041 IMG_2042.

All money raised from the night went to Frank Ski Kids Foundation and the multiple programs they provide including this summer’s Planet Green Science trip to Alaska.
