Nobu is one of the world's most renowned sushi restaurants and all of its spots in each city maintain the same level of excellence that can be expected from the famed chef. The Miami Nobu was recently revamped as it moved to the larger space at the Eden Roc, now known as the Nobu Eden Roc Hotel. The Miami location marks the brand's third hotel. You can expect to find your favorite classics here impeccably presented, like the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, the ever-so-popular New Style Sashimi or simple, fresh pieces of sushi. It's the perfect date-night spot or power lunch location, a classic go-to for any occasion.

The iconic Japanese spot is another staple for Miamians, located with a stunning waterfront view at the Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami. The restaurant is famous for its weekend brunch where guests have their choosing of an entire all-you-can-eat buffet complete with a gorgeous sushi bar. However, if you're just looking for a quick sushi fix, be sure to sit at the sushi bar inside and order up some of their specialties including the Tuna Tataki, Wagyu-Truffle Roll or the Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll, as well as the phenomenal sashimi platter.

3 NAOE

The tiny off-the-radar Japanese spot located in the quaint Brickell Key area is possibly one of Miami's most unique and authentic restaurants. The sushi served here cannot be found elsewhere, and definitely calls for a more adventurous eater. Priced at $200++ and with only four seats in the restaurant, a night out here calls for some planning ahead and dedication, but every bite is well worth it. The menu changes daily dependent on Chef Kevin Kory's selection of what he thinks is the very best that night. With 16 courses of the highest quality of food around including 7-8 omakase pieces, the spot is sure to impress the most worldly and critical eaters with its renowned cuisine.

4 Myumi

Myumi is a hip and funky food truck that hails from New York and has become famous in Miami for serving up some of the highest-quality omakase around. Located in the Wynwood Yard with a lively atmosphere and music performances, Myumi is the perfect go-to for date night or a fun night out with friends—and the food will not disappoint. With a menu that changes a bit throughout the week, you can expect some of the Chef's specialties—passed down to him from the "Sushi Boss" who holds down 1 or 8 in Brooklyn—like the Striped Amberjack, Seared Trout, or of course everyone's favorite: the triple Toro roll. Reservations are a must through Resy, so make sure to book ahead and secure your spot because this place fills up each night of the week.

The beloved Japanese restaurant in the storied Bal Harbour Shops is another one of Miami's top places for sushi. Keeping with Stephen Starr's ethos, both the dark and sleek atmosphere as well as the beautiful food presentations are extraordinary, and the spot maintains a 5-star food lineup on a day-to-day basis, welcoming in crowds of shoppers and tourists to get their fix of their favorites. Go-to's include the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice—which is quite possibly the best version of this popular dish in Miami—as well as the fresh Hamachi Ponzu dish, Sashimi platter and Dynamite Crab Handroll.
