This former Indigo Girls Emily Saliers owned restaurant is known for their great food and atmosphere but it is Fried Chicken Wednesdays that really puts this place on the map. This unforgettable fried chicken is always crispy on the outside with and juicy and flavorful on the inside. A little bit like magic. Our favorite part, aside from the chicken, is the fluffy homemade biscuits that come with the meal and are served with butter and honey. The perfect sweet and salty combo.

An Atlanta institution still serving the same true Southern fare (with a few upgrades) 70 years later. You know the food is good when lines form every Sunday and people wait for hours to grab a table. From regulars to out-of-towners and a host of celebs, there is a reason why this place is a must-visit spot. And the fried chicken can't be passed over.
