Even with the Grammy’s on Sunday night in Los Angeles, it was a busy weekend in Atlanta filled with pre-Valentine’s Day celebrations, celebrity kissing booths, grand openings and more. Here we give you a round up of this past weekend in Atlanta.
Bar Margot (at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta)
Couples celebrated a weekend long love affair with the romantic events happening all weekend at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta. Friday and Saturday night, however, Bar Margot was the go-to spot for the special menu items, including an incredible seafood tower for two which had a half a lobster tail, oysters, opilio crab claws, cocktail shrimp and garnished with orchids. Oh, and a sweet punch was concocted out of copper flamingo. Birds of a Feather cocktail featured Absolut Elyx, ginger beer, honey, lemon and hints of peach.
Kiss for A Cause 2017 at Ponce City Market
Some local celebrities including The Bachelorette’s Josh Murrary took a seat in their own photo booth for a good ‘ole kissing session. Ponce City Market kicked off their Valentine’s Day celebration with this star-studded charity event- Kiss for a Cause, a celebrity kissing and photo booth that gives back. Money went to the charity of the celebrity’s choice. Josh Murray along with Danielle Rollins, NBA cheerleader Nakeisha Turk and actor and hair talent Miss Lawrence Washington were among the celebs that puckered up to raise money for the charity of their choosing.
NBA Star Derrick Favors and Entrepreneur Shivolli DaSilva Celebrate the Grand Opening of S & S Lux Boutique at Phipps Plaza:
Atlanta native and Utah Jazz NBA star Derrick Favors and partner Shivolli DaSilva celebrated their brand new luxury boutique, S & S Luxury, at Phipps Plaza with a party and ribbon cutting. The store features a variety of Minky Couture blankets for adults, children and even infants. The only retailer in Atlanta to carry these blankets, which are known for their ultra plush and silky textures, the boutique plans to carry a variety of fabrics and patterns. Along with Minky Couture, look out for the children and infant line of stylish and luxurious accessories such as hair bows, stockings and matching socks and headbands.
NBA star and Atlanta native, Derrick Favors and partner Shivolli DaSilva’s twin girls were a large motivation behind S&S Lux. They were given Minky blankets when their daughters were born and had never experienced anything quite like the design and feel of this gift. The twin girls’ names, Sanaa and Serenitee, were the inspiration for the boutique’s name, S&S Lux.
