While we certainly may not need to warm up in Miami over the winter months, we can still indulge of some of the warm winter foods that we love and crave. Fittingly, ramen is making its debut over the city and it’s hot right now. From sbe’s new, hip K Ramen or Brickell hotspot Baby Jane’s new pop-up, Miamians can now get their fix of Ramen whenever they need, without having to stray too far from home. Here’s our haute list of our favorite ramen dishes in the city that you must try now:

1 K Ramen

sbe
sbe's K Ramen is the newest and hippest ramen joint in the city, located underground in the newly renovated Townhouse Hotel. With a dark and trendy vibe illuminated by playful neon lights and colorful anime wallpaper, the spot has won over the crowd with its unique atmosphere and gourmet comfort food, focusing on three of our favorites: ramen, burgers and beer. Obviously, the ramen is a must-try, and we suggest the signature Lobster Ramen, made with golden chives, green onion & marinated egg. Look out for new programming such as karaoke night and ladies night to make the experience all the more enjoyable.

Brickell's Baby Jane is haute right now following the debut of its new Shimuja Ramen pop-up at the restaurant. Although the spot was always a winner with a great vibe and inventive food and cocktails, Shimuja Ramen brings a menu that we were craving in Miami. The menu features some of the top ramen around with four signature ramen dishes, all of which are fantastic and unique in flavor. Our favorite is the Shiro Shoyu Ramen, which is simple and light with tons of flavor, but for something more hearty, opt for the Tonkotsu which is also a crowd-favorite, and make sure to pair them with the spot's authentic pork buns.

3 Wonton Ramen from TALDE

Michael Pisarri
Dale Talde's famed Brooklyn haute spot debuted in Miami just about a year ago, situated at The Confidante hotel. The happening spot serves up unbeatable Asian cuisine, with tons of spice and flavor. One of the secrets is their late-night noodles, which you can get until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, featuring the delectable Wonton Ramen. Bursting with flavor and not too heavy, the light broth and the egg noodles are the perfect ramen fix to complete any evening, whether it be for dinner or a late night craving.

4 Makoto Ramen

The storied Bal Harbour restaurant is known for its incredible Japanese cuisine, serving up some of the best dishes in town. While the spot is famous for its crispy rice, sushi and wagyu beef, the noodles are definitely not to be overlooked. The signature Makoto Ramen is a must-try on the noodle menu, with a secret story behind it you may not know: the recipe is a family special passed down to Makoto from his grandmother who taught him how to cook. The homemade dish definitely lives up to the hype, deliciously made with ground steak, pork, garlic, bean sprouts and red chili for just the right kick of spice.

5 Seafood Ramen from Ichimi

This hidden gem is located on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, and was one of the first spots in Miami serving authentic ramen. With home-made ramen noodles cooked to perfection and an array of varying flavors and temperatures, a trip to this spot is pivotal in order to taste the best of the best in the city. One of the highlights on the menu is the seafood ramen, but be prepared because it takes a bit of time to make, composed of lemongrass, clams, shrimp, garlic confit, micro radish, pea tendrils and scallion. Be sure to also try the spot's delicious crispy oyster bao buns to pair with your warm meal.
