Boston’s Haute Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

There are ways to show your love for that special someone in your life and then there are haute displays of affection. Admittedly, there is no better day to show your sweetheart just how much you love them than on Valentine’s Day. We have rounded up some of the best ways to celebrate your valentine in Boston with this haute gift guide.

This Saturday, the Boston Harbor Hotel is hosting a Valentine’s Dinner Dance in continuation of the 28th Annual Boston Wine Festival. Executive Chef Daniel Bruce will pair Moët & Chandon champagnes for you to sip on while dancing and dining the night away with your sweetheart.

This Valentine’s Day, Artisan Bistro at the Ritz Carlton, Boston will be helping families with cancer manage the financial burdens of the disease. From February 10 to 14, 50 percent of all dessert proceeds from the sale of every confection sold in Artisan Bistro and Avery Bar will benefit Boston’s own Family Reach organization that provides financial assistance to families in need. In addition, they have created a four-course menu with wine pairings complete with Perigord-truffled terrines of foie gras and Scituate lobster and hazelnut dacquoise to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The Park Plaza haute spot is offering a Wine, Dine and Sparkle Reservation that includes a four-course wine dinner for two paired with a beautiful piece of pre-selected jewelry for him or her (think cuff link set, a heart-shaped tag lock pendant or Elsa Peretti Diamonds by the Yard bracelet) that will await your arrival at the restaurant.

Women know that nothing says I love you better than a beautiful bottle of perfume. Saks Fifth Avenue at the Prudential Center offers a beautiful bottle of Clive Christian Noble VII Cosmos Flower that she won’t soon forget. This feminine perfume offers a beautiful blend of sweet benzoin and caramel combined with a twist of bitter cocoa, dry amber and a touch of leather. We love the scents of fruity plum, ylang-ylang, and jasmine.

For the foodie in your life, Winston Flowers has the perfect gift with its “Black Label” gourmet collection including wine, candlelight, fine chocolates, and red roses. We love the Wine Duet & Candlelight gift set of white and red wines to enjoy with your love presented in their signature charcoal crate complemented with red roses and, of course, a box of chocolates.

Also for the food lover, Catalyst is hosting a cooking demonstration class at their open kitchen. You will start off enjoying a glass of bubbly on arrival, passed hors d’oeuvres and wine service while participating in the preparation of a three-course menu. Following the demonstration, you will be seated in the dining room to dine and mingle with the chefs. The menu includes tender leeks with truffle vinaigrette and crispy shallots, the “ultimate” Bolognaise with fresh tagliatelle, tender beef short ribs, perfect potato puree, roasted root vegetables and red wine sauce.

For the woman who would love a quick beauty lift, BloDry Boutique is hosting a mini-makeover from Thursday through Valentine’s Day. The Fenway boutique-style beauty bar is offering pre-Valentine’s Day pamper-fest packages that include a signature blowout, full-face makeup application, glass of champagne and a swag bag.

For the history buff in your life, on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday, the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum tells the story of “the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution” with Unconditional Love: The Letters of John & Abigail Adams, an hour-long theatrical performance. The event brings life to the intimate correspondence of letters between America’s second President John Adams and his wife Abigail, who were born and raised in Massachusetts and whose homestead was (and still stands today) in Quincy, Mass.

For the woman who has it all, she will love you even more when you gift her with the gorgeous Valentine style Rogue drip-leopard print bag with top handles and straps for shoulder wear available at Coach in Copley Place.
