Cirque du Soleil dazzled audiences once again with the Las Vegas premiere of its newest touring show “Troruk — The First Flight” on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The limited run show ended with a standing ovation.

The show, inspired by James Cameron’s movie “Avatar,” transported more than 3,000 guests to the world of Pandora, bringing the mythical planet to life on a 20,000-square-foot stage buoyed by some of the world’s greatest technology, acrobatics and cinematic score.

Among those in attendance was Jerry Nadal, senior vice president, resident shows division at Cirque du Soleil, along with the casts and crews from “Mystère,” “The Beatles LOVE” and “KÀ,” who praised the show for its accuracy in portraying Pandora and its Na’vi inhabitants.

The show takes place thousands of years before humans ever set foot on Pandora, acting as a prequel to the hit film, combining Cameron’s storyline with the creativity of Cirque du Soleil.

Serving as the first touring Cirque du Soleil show to perform at the arena, “Toruk — The First Flight” will perform in Las Vegas for a limited time only through Sunday, Jan. 22. Tickets are on sale now starting at $39. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/toruk.
