If you thought you had to wait until springtime to get your Fenway fix on, you are in for a nice surprise. Today at 1:30 p.m., you can head over to America’s most beloved ballpark for the Frozen Fenway Winter Party on Ice. Each winter, the park is transformed into a skating rink featuring a variety of hockey and ice skating events.

The two-week series kicked off with the Atlantic Hockey Division I men’s college hockey game finishing off today with a big celebration. A pair of Hockey East doubleheaders featured eight of the premier college hockey programs in New England on January 7 and 14. Additionally, a Women’s and Girls Hockey Day took place on January 10, featuring a Girls Youth Clinic conducted by Massachusetts Hockey and the Boston Pride and a game between the Harvard University and Boston College Women’s Hockey teams. Today’s winter party will feature a cast of figure skating stars in town for two shows (an afternoon and evening performance).

Frozen Fenway’s Winter Party on Ice is produced by Ice Dance International Events and will showcase a cast of competitors and performers, including two-time United States National Champion Alissa Czisny, World Team Member Richard Dornbush and Choreographer of the Year: Rohene Ward.

The show will feature skaters performing routines to hit songs and include performances by local youth competitors. Two 45-minute figure skating performances will be held today at Fenway Park. The afternoon series begins at 1:30 p.m. and the evening gets underway at 6 p.m.
