After three years touring around the world, Benjamin Millepied, choreographer extraordinaire and former Paris Opera Ballet director and his L.A. Dance Project finally returned to Los Angeles.

The program, which was held at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel downtown, featured four magnificent pieces including Millepied’s “On The Other Side,”with a set designed by LA artist Mark Bradford, as well as the World Premiere of “Homecoming, with music composed and performed live by Rufus Wainwright. Other U.S. premieres included “II Acts for the Blind” and the pas de deux “After the Rain.”

The chic soiree included a glamorous dinner at the Ace as underwritten by Ermenegildo Zegna, free-flowing Dom Perignon and, of course, the dances. Attendees included Millepied and his wife, Oscar winner Natalie Portman, Wainwright, Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs, Janie Taylor, Carla Körbes, Frank Gehry, Eli Broad, Edythe Broad, Jörn Weisbrodt, Barbara Kruger, Maja Hoffman, Nicholas Britell and Alex Israel.
