Haute Spots Boston: TRADE Secrets Cooking Classes

If you are looking for a unique gift to give that special foodie in your life this holiday season, we have got you covered, or better yet, TRADE has got just what you are looking for. James Beard Award Winning Chef Jody Adams will be launching TRADE Secrets Cooking Classes next month at her Atlantic Wharf restaurant where she shares some of her cooking secrets. The series of four instructional classes (running one Sunday each month from January to April) will be led by Chef Jody with each class followed by a three-course lunch and wine pairing. Doesn’t get much better than this.

Foodies will have the opportunity to learn some of Adams’ unique cooking techniques (not to mention haute secrets) preparing dishes from four of her favorite countries – Greece, Italy, France and Spain. The interactive series of cooking classes is inspired by various countries of the Mediterranean and the flavors unique to each. Each is being held at TRADE, which was aptly named as it “trades with farmers for produce and local meats, and trades with local residents and businesses for its goods.”

The small group cooking classes will start off with welcoming coffee and scones on arrival followed by Chef Adams teaching her tricks of the trade. After everyone has worked up an appetite, foodies will enjoy a three-course lunch with wine pairings. Each guest will leave with printed recipe cards to recreate the experience at home.

Trade Secrets Cooking Classes are held on the following dates with respective themes for each: Sunday, January 15 – Greece, Sunday, February 12 – Italy, Sunday, March 19 – France, Sunday, April 23 – Spain. TRADE is located at 540 Atlantic Avenue in Boston.
