One of the country’s best culinary events is coming to Boston tonight. The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America culinary tour is stopping by The Langham, Boston tonight at 6:30 p.m. for A Night of Culinary Stars, an exclusive dining event benefiting the James Beard Foundation.
Don your best cocktail attire and head over here to sample a special menu prepared by Taste America All-Star James Beard Award Winner John Besh of Besh Restaurant Group in New Orleans; Boston’s own James Beard winner Ana Sortun of Oleana in Cambridge along with host chef Mark Sapienza of The Langham.

The evening will start off with a walk-around tasting reception where you can sip on cocktails and sample hors d’oeuvre from local chefs and restaurateurs like James Beard award winner Susan Regis of Shepard in Cambridge, Jeremy Sewall of Row 34 and Karen Akunowicz of Myers + Chang, followed by a four-course dinner crafted by Chefs John Besh and Ana Sortun.

The James Beard Foundation‘s Taste America national culinary tour began September 23 and runs until November 5, 2016 stopping in 10 cities, including Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Phoenix, Portland, OR, San Francisco, and the Twin Cities. Each city’s weekend-long itinerary features a benefit dinner prepared by a Taste America All-Star and Local Star chef; in-store events at select Sur La Table locations with celebrity chef appearances, cooking demos, book signings and tastings from local producers and artisans.

On Saturday, head over to Sur la Table at Copley Place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a cooking demo with John Besh at 10 a.m. and Boston’s own James Beard Award Winner Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery + Bakery. There will also be a cheese tasting with Cabot Creamery and a gourmet nut tasting with Q’s Nuts.
