Designer Nina Sarin of Arias New York Shares Her Favorite Addresses

NINA SARIN ETEC
Nina Sarin Arias, founder of Arias New York

Designer Nina Sarin Arias is a newbie to the city’s fashion, launching her label Arias New York just last year. But the Stanford and London School of Business grad (she also attended Parsons The New School) is no stranger to the world of luxury fashion, having done stints at Burberry and Cartier. Sarin’s line, whose first full collection is for Spring Summer 2017, is defined by modern cuts, sleek tailoring and sumptuous fabrics. What’s also great about the label–all pieces are made in New York.(Haute Living recently caught up with Sarin to talk about her favorite New York spots.

How long have you been in New York?

8 years

How long have you had your own business?

I have been working on Arias New York for a year, and our debut capsule collection launched (for purchase) on our website in August 2016.

Favorite neighborhood:

The West Village.  I love the peacefulness of the tree-lined streets, great restaurants on every corner and proximity to the Hudson River.

Is your favorite neighborhood different from the area you live in?

I live in the West Village, but West Chelsea is another favorite. I love visiting the many art galleries for inspiration.
