This year it is luxe leather goods maker Coach’s 75th birthday. To celebrate, the company is doing all sorts of fabulous things. They completely remodeled their Post Street flagship. With the West Coast’s first craftsmanship bar that allows Coach lovers to personalize their pieces, the store is bigger and better than ever. CEO Victor Luis is taking international sales to a whole new level and he chatted with us about how the idea of luxury has changed in the past decade. Last week, the brand released its first book, a gorgeous coffee table tome titled Coach: A Story of New York Cool. It’s filled with pictures of celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Ali McGraw wearing Coach, takes a closer look at the brand’s storied history, features vintage sketches, and reveals the inspiration behind some of Coach’s most iconic handbags.

To celebrate the book launch Jessica Silverman, Sarah Thornton, and Sonya Yu hosted a chic little soirée. San Francisco’s most stylish A-listers were in attendance. Sonya Molodetskaya shared her adventures from Paris and Milan fashion week, while Dr. Carolyn Chang eyed the pretty frocks and structured handbags. Revelers sipped on champagne and nibbled on delectable bites like mushroom-filled polenta cups and gaufrettes topped with creme fraiche and beef tenderloin. Other fashionable guests included Emily Holt, Peter Panagiotopouos, Laura Dowling, Allison Speer, Kaitlin Krieger, and Leila Radan.

Coach fans should note that the brand is hosting a very special vintage auction now through October 28. Bid for carefully refurbished totes, ultra-rare bags, and unique customized satchels made in partnership with artists, athletes, and celebrities. Coach collectors can also get their hands on four of the most beloved vintage styles ever made. Their leather team has rescued and restored these bags back to their original condition.
