Hadley Henriette has been reporting on the hautest and hottest things in Miami for more than a decade. Even before serving as Haute Living Miami’s Editor-In-Chief, she’s served as a tastemaker on E!’s Kourney & Khloe Take Miami, After Hours with Daniel Boulud and NBC’s Live Miami as well as a judge for the Miami International Film Festival. To find out her city favorites, we asked her to turn the Haute Secrets’ lens on herself for a true insides glimpse into the best of Miami.
Where were you born? Hudson, Ohio
How long have you lived in Miami? 18 years
What is your neighborhood? Mid-Beach on Miami Beach
Occupation? Editor of Haute Living, Miami
Favorite restaurant? Byblos
Best brunch? I have two. Los Fuegos at Faena has a delightful atmosphere and La Mar at the Mandarin Oriental for an immersive dining experience.
Best Place for a power business meeting? I like to have lunch meetings at Plant Food + Wine in the Sacred Space garden. It’s powerful in a totally different sort of way!
All-Around Favorite place in Miami? The beach… in the morning or late, late afternoon.
Which hotel do you recommend for out of town guests? That always depends on who the guests are and what they want to do but 1 Hotel, Soho Beach House, Faena and the Setai are all at the top of the list.
Favorite place to shop? I rarely have time to physically go shopping, but when I do, it’s usually to come out for my favorite Miami designers Alexis, Karelle Levy, Julian Chang and, now, Oscar Carvallo. The Griffin in Coconut Grove is great for fancy shoes too.
Favorite place to buy jewelry? I usually buy from Albert’s Fine Jewelers in the Seybold building
Favorite watch brand? Rolex and Bulgari.
Favorite spa? I like heat therapy and Tierra Santa Healing House at Faena has the most beautiful custom-built sauna I’ve ever seen!
Favorite steakhouse? I like The Forge because the other dishes are just as good as the steak. I also love all the history.
Favorite sushi? Sushi Garage or Zuma
Favorite gym? I go to Soho House and Pilates on the Beach
Best massage? The Mandarin Oriental
What is the best neighborhood in Miami? For me the very best is Indian Creek. It’s sort of a tiny waterfront utopia.
Best Salon? I’ve been to most the salons in Miami and I have a few favorites. Danny Jelaca is a great little jewelbox salon South of Fifth and I love their highlights and fabulous updos. I also really like ATMA, a new salon which is sprawling and industrial, yet very calming. It is a great place for nails and beachy blowouts.
Favorite charitable event? I can’t just pick one. I love the Miami City Ballet Gala, the Bass Ball and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Preservation Gala.
