Hotel Café Royal Launches Summer Diwania Lounge With Harrods
Hotel Café Royal launched an exclusive pop-up in collaboration with London’s most famed department store, Harrods over the weekend. The Pompadour Ballroom, a beautifully restored room in the gilded style of Louis XVI, has been transformed into an extension of the Mezzah Lounge at Harrods. Inspired by the food and culture of the Middle East, this sensational space will be open as the Diwania Lounge for the summer in London.
Reminiscent of French palaces belonging to the most prestigious royal families, this beautiful all-day lounge will be adorned with luxurious chaises and lounges, sumptuous sofas and embroidered cushions. Harrods Home will add statement pieces, making it an individual, stand-out space for invited guests and hotel residents.
With a selection of dishes created by the Head Chef of the Mezzah Lounge at Harrods, Hotel Café Royal’s Diwania Lounge will serve traditional Middle Eastern dishes in a beautiful yet contemporary environment.

The World’s Highest Theatre Club, The Act Dubai, Raises its Curtains
The Act Dubai returned with ROUGE on July 17th, transporting guests from the comfort of their table on an opulent, glitzy and risqué journey.

All inhibitions were left behind as patrons delved into another magical world, created by the ever-talented production team at The Act Dubai. The immersive dinner show twisted reality into a whole new realm, as the sassy, feminine women who ooze the ROUGE persona entertained the crowd.
Fun Nation Arrives for Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2016
Fun Nation, a series of exciting and engaging workshops and performances will entertain guests of all ages at du Forum, Yas Island until August 6th. An exhilarating range of sports, fashion, gaming and cooking events will be held under one roof at this all-new destination brought to Yas Island by FLASH Entertainment, in association with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and MBC Group.
Visitors will be treated to celebrity appearances, thrilling competitions and interactive workshops designed to kick-start the fun for kids and adults alike this summer. Sports and cooking events will take the venue by storm from 14 July to 23 July, followed by a second period dedicated to thrilling activities for gaming and fashion from 28 July to 6 August.
During the first week famous sports stars such as Australian cricketer Brad Haddin and former AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini will be making appearances during a grand finale session at the Central Pitch on 22 nd July and 23 rd July respectively, hosting a once-in- a-lifetime chance to win signed memorabilia.
Young aspiring chefs can also learn the tricks of the trade with famous cartoon characters Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants through the engaging “Kitchen Mission” workshops, while avid gamers can enjoy a host of entertainment options in a series of tournaments featuring famous titles including FIFA, Super Smash Bros. and Street Fighter.
To add a whole new level of excitement to the month-long event, featured competitions in fashion and fitness will be offering prize pools up to AED 10,000. One of the challenges featuring this amazing prize is the Abu Dhabi’s Fittest Person Competition, involving daily qualifier events leading up to a grand finale on Saturday, 23rd July.
