Haute Spots Boston: Grettacole Spa

Trendsetter Gretchen Monahan knows what it takes to create great style. As a frequent guest on The Rachael Ray Show and Good Morning America, the self-made style maven, celebrity stylist, author, fashionista and native Bostonian has a collection of designer shopping boutiques, luxe salons and haute spas from Boston and beyond.

We recently stopped by the Grettacole Spa in Boston tucked inside the Westin Hotel at Copley Place for a one-stop day of beauty. From a luxurious shampoo and deep conditioning treatment followed by a designer haircut to a detoxifying lemon and lavender purifying facial or perhaps a meadowsweet and cucumber eye refining treatment, the salon has everything you need to relax and rejuvenate.

Whether you come here to get styled for a special event, night out on the town or just need an excuse for some pampering after a day of shopping at the high end boutiques at Copley Place, this day spa and salon has it all. We recommend a relaxing 50-minute Swedish massage that can combined with pressure point therapy for the ultimate in relaxation on a soothing warm treatment bed.

When my massage was complete, I was led to the salon side where I was greeted by a friendly therapist who started up the massaging chair and drew a warm foot bath. She got to work removing nail polish, trimming cuticles, sloughing off calluses and providing a relaxing leg massage before applying a hot paraffin treatment to leave your feet baby soft and painting a beautiful red polish for my toes.

Other services here include a luxe June Jacobs peppermint manicure, eyebrow waxing, eyelast extensions, thermal conditioning hair treatment and the Peter Thomas Roth unwrinkle facial. For the ultimate in hydration that is perfect during the drying summer (and winter) months, be sure to try Grettacole’s award winning custom facial.

Grettacole Spa is located at 10 Huntington Avenue in Boston. There is a second location in Wellesley, Mass.
