Recently, dignitaries of the City of Sunny Isles Beach joined development partners Edgardo Defortuna, CEO of Fortune International Group, and Manuel Grosskopf, CEO of Château Group for the historic groundbeaking of The Ritz Carlton Residences, Sunny Isles Beach.

Designed by architectural firm Arquitectonica and featuring interiors by famed acclaimed Italian designer Michele Bönan, the 52-story oceanfront residential tower sits on 250 linear feet of pristine white sand in the heart of the posh neighborhood of Sunny Isles Beach. The tower will be built by Suffolk Construction, one of the largest building contractors in Florida. The development will be located at 15701 Collins Avenue and is scheduled to be completed in 2018.

“Fortune International Group and Château Group have long been recognized as two of South Florida’s most established and highly regarded real estate leaders,” said Mayor Scholl. “It is with great confidence that we celebrate their contributions to Sunny Isles Beach with this remarkable, forthcoming development.”

The recent groundbreaking was just the latest in a string of successes for the property. In May, the tower’s top-floor penthouse sold for $16.5 million, marking the third of the property’s five penthouses under contract. Late last year, in December 2015, the development set a Sunny Isles Beach record when a 7,735-square-foot full-floor penthouse on the 51st floor sold for $21 million.

“It has been a tremendous year since the property launched, and we will continue this standard of excellence as we advance construction, said Manuel Grosskopf, CEO of Château Group. “We thank the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Mayor Scholl, community dignitaries, and our esteemed partners for their support in our development.”
