Boston in the summer is all about dining al fresco as much as possible. One of the best spots to enjoy the warm weather is with a beautiful rooftop view of the city. Here’s a look at five of the hautest roof decks that you need to check out right now.
1 Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill, FenwayTony C's
One of Boston’s best sports bars has recently opened just steps from Fenway Park. The 3,000 sf roof deck here offers a full unobstructed view of the park overlooking the Green Monster. Get started with a cup of thick, creamy New England clam chowder and some spicy Buffalo wings before enjoying some home run favorites like a warm pretzel or our favorite, the deliciously hearty Reuben.
1265 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02215
[email protected] is the best place to be this summer. Located atop the Revere Hotel Boston Common’s seventh floor, this haute newcomer to the Theatre District has a full service bar and specialty bites created by Chef Taylor Collis that go best when paired with summertime libations like the refreshing Boston Common Cucumba with Wireworks Gin, St. Germaine, cucumber-thyme syrup, fresh lemon or the island-inspired Stuart Street Sip n’ Slide with Medford Rum, pineapple, lime, and simple syrup.

3 The RattlesnakeThe Rattlesnake
Chef Brian Poe’s Mexican meets South American cuisine soars at the roof deck location inside The Rattlesnake. This Back Bay favorite is always busy with hungry diners flocking here to sip on some creative cocktails (cranberry jalapeno margarita, anyone?) and a taste of the southwest. We recommend getting started with the smoky chipotle wings kicked up even more with a jalapeno rub or an enormous plate of specialty nachos filled with corn salsa, asparagus, black beans in a delicious minted tomatillo salsa. For main events, try the antelope tacos, wild boar burrito or agave glazed pork belly tostada.

4 Ristorante FioreRistorante Fiore
There is only one roof deck for those in the know in the Boston’s Italian North End. If you haven’t been yet to Ristorante Fiore, don’t tell too many people about this hidden gem because once word gets out, we will all have to endure long waits for a taste of the crisp arancini filled with gooey fontina cheese, pillowy homemade ravioli stuffed with ricotta and our favorite summer dish, Bombolotti con Aragosta e Gamberi (homemade pasta filled with lobster and shrimp in a deliciously light tomato and cream sauce.
250 Hanover Street Boston, MA 02113
5 Avenue OneAvenue One
You won’t find too many roof top restaurants in Downtown Crossing, but there is one tucked atop the Hyatt Regency. Executive Chef Kelly Armetta’s menu focuses on all things local. Snack on the Boston turkey club, New England crab cakes or golden fish and chips. Al fresco dining tastes even better here when paired up with a mango margarita or cranberry kiss while watching some busy shoppers below.
