Haute 100: Find Out Where Mark Wahlberg Is Opening the Next Wahlburgers Location
Actor and Haute 100 lister Mark Wahlberg alongside his brothers are bringing their famous Wahlburgers establishment to the nation’s capital. Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg, older brother to Mark, will be opening the first-ever Wahlburgers location in D.C. at Dupont Circle later this year.
The burger joint will be perched at One Dupont Circle in a 6,500 square feet space. It is slated to be one of the first Wahlburgers to come to the D.C. Metro Area. Wahlburgers’ menu includes burgers with names such as O.F.D. (originally from Dorchesstah), Mom’s Sloppy Joe and The Beast — two 5-ounce burgers topped with blue cheese sauce and BBQ sauce. It will also serve grilled cheese, hot dogs, chicken and fish sandwiches, salads and mac and cheese.
In a statement, Rick Vanzura, CEO of Wahlburgers, said, “We’re thrilled to be bringing Wahlburgers to our nation’s capital, especially during such an exciting election year. We look forward to serving D.C.’s diverse community and welcoming everyone from foreign ambassadors and elected officials to students and visitors.”
“Prominently situated on Dupont Circle, Wahlburgers’ signature green décor will grace the interior and exterior of a striking glass structure and feature both a fast casual counter and spacious full-service dining room with expansive bar and outdoor patio,” the statement adds. “A retail section will showcase branded Wahlburgers t-shirts, hats, drinkware and more.”
The first Wahlburgers debuted Oct. 24th 2011 in Hingham, MA. As the famous family’s burger joint gained popularity, A&E developed a reality show that followed the brothers and gave a behind-the-scenes look at the Wahlburgers. The reality series debuted on Jan. 22nd, 2014.
Mark has been spotted in Arizona over the course of the last few days filming Transformers 5. Transformers: The Last Knight features the iconic Autobots and Deceptions and was being filmed on the Loop 303. It is set to hit theatres sometime next year.
