5 Summer Cocktail Recipes From New York’s Best Brunch Spots

Sunny NYC Sundays signal one thing: brunch. Summertime in the Big Apple is filled with new brunch offerings and it can be a full-time endeavor trying to keep up. While we are certainly aware food options are important and all, we’re the brunch game to enjoy that much needed daytime cocktail. We searched the city high and low for summer 2016’s best new brunch cocktails. Here is what we found, and here is how to make them.

1 Caprese Cocktail at Tarallucci e Vino

1.5oz Grappa
1oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/3 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
3 Chopped Cherry Tomatoes
2 Basil Leaves
3 Cherry Tomatoes for Garnish

- Muddle the cherry tomatoes, basil, simple syrup and lemon juice together.
- Then add in the olive oil, followed by the Grappa.
- In a cocktail shaker, add ice and shake well
- Strain through fine sieve and serve with cherry tomatoes and basil as garnish. Enjoy!

2 Summer Brunch Negroni at Clover Club

.5 oz. Strawberry-Infused Campari
.5 oz. Strawberry-Infused Aperol
1 oz. Cinzano Bianco
1 oz. Gin

Stir and strain over one large ice cube. Garnish with an orange twist and a slice of strawberry

3 Mary’s Walk of Shame at Bespoke Kitchen

Our Bloody Mary is done with 50% fresh tomatoes and Chef Franco's secret spices.

The topping:
1 large cube Maple Bacon
1 Breakfast Sausage
1 Cucumber Pickle
1 strip Molasses Bacon
1/2 Grilled Cheese
1 health chunk Honey Ham

1 oz Singani 63
0.5 oz Jack Rudy Lemongrass Tonic

Combine ingredients into an ice filled glass and top with Prosecco.
